Rishabh Pant named Uttarakhand brand ambassador – WeForNews


New Delhi, December 20: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Sunday that Indian drummer Rishabh Pant has been named the state’s brand ambassador.

Speaking to Twitter, the chief minister said Pant would encourage young people to play sports.

One of India’s top cricketers, youth idol and son of Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has been named ‘State Brand Ambassador’ by our government in an effort to encourage the youth of the state towards sport and public health, ”Dhami tweeted in Hindi, along with the video.

In the video, CM Dhami can be seen interacting with Rishabh and asking him questions about his well-being.

The offensive hitter also thanked the chief minister for the opportunity, saying he would do his best to motivate people to get in shape.

“Thank you @pushkardhami sir for giving me the opportunity to be the brand ambassador for the promotion of sport and general health among the people of Uttarakhand. I will do my best to spread this message and I am happy that you are taking these steps for a healthier India, ”Pant tweeted.

“Coming from a small town of Roorkee, I am convinced that the people here have the ability to make the country proud in various areas of life,” he added.

The 24-year-old Rishabh Pant, who had rested for the New Zealand tests, is currently in Johannesburg, South Africa, as the Indian team is set to face Proteas in the three-match test series, from December 26.
