APL’s One-Year Read 2022 Challenge Returns | Pelican Post


The Ascension Parish Library One Year Reading Challenge is back – Read 2022. Go beyond the authors, genres and formats you usually read. Get out of your comfort zone and have fun with your playlist. We have selected 12 book challenges for this year and will unveil one challenge each month. A winner in each age group will be chosen monthly in a random draw. Will you accept our challenge?

How to participate :

  • Check out our Shelf Analysis blog on myapl.org, social media pages or the library newsletter for our current monthly reading challenge.
  • Read a book from our suggested titles on our blog or choose your own book that matches the challenge of the month.
  • Take part in any month that interests or inspires you – this event is flexible.
  • When you complete the One Month Challenge, save your book on Beanstack at myAPL.beanstack.org or stop by any Ascension Parish Library location to fill out a printed reading journal.

Monthly drawings

  • For each challenge completed, you will win a chance in our monthly draw.
  • One entry per person and per challenge.
  • A winner in each age group will be chosen monthly in a random draw.

Price :

  • Adult (18 years and over) —Foldable garden chair
  • Teenager (13-17 years old) —Quick Charge Power Bank
  • Children (ages 5-12) – Plush Lion
